The Best Christmas Pageant Ever

We had a wonderful time at the Art Center of the Ozarks! After enjoying the book "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" we enjoyed the play "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever". We especially enjoyed getting to see two of our third grade classmates perform as angels in the play. Good Job Gracie and Alena!!!!

It is COLD outside!!!

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. I am reminding you to please send your child with a coat. This unpredictable weather is hard to figure out. We plan on taking your children outside for their recesses as much as we possibly can, so please dress them accordingly.

If you have sent your child to school with a jacket in the past and it hasn't made it home, please have your child check the lost and found. It is already overflowing!! I would estimate that we already have 50 coats in lost and found.

And one last announcement... I know that they kids have just been home for 5 days straight and that many of them have gotten quite used to sleeping in and staying home with you, BUT please send them to school if they are physically able to come. When your child misses school they miss assignments that can often be taken home to complete, but often they miss so much more. They miss all the scaffolding that we do to arrive at the new learning. They miss the input by their classmates, they miss the attempts (wrong or right) to prove their new learnings, they miss the background, they miss the 45 minute lesson that comes before the worksheet or activity.
